Kingstedt (PI), McCarter, and Leang receive $195k for the acquisition of a Shimadzu HPVX2 high speed camera

In engineering seeing is believing.  The acquisition of a world class high speed camera will be a critical component of improving understanding of dynamic events which have not been visualized previously. The Shimadzu HPVX2 camera will be used by individuals across campus to investigate rotor flutter, blast, dynamic fracture, and high rate deformation. A huge thank you to all of the 20+ faculty member who supported the acquisition of the camera. For the Department announcement see:  https://mech.utah.edu/kingstedt-leang-and-mccarter-RIF
